Camera Basics

Are you ready to move beyond the automatic settings? Then this class is for you!

This is an introductory workshop for beginning photographers who would like to learn the basics of using the camera. This class will teach you how to use the manual settings to gain control over the image making process. You learn how to use the manual settings on your camera to get consistent quality images.

What you will learn:

  • Focal length
  • Aperture / f-stop
  • Shutter speed
  • White balance
  • Exposure
  • Depth of field
  • Manual Focus

You will need to bring your DSLR or a point and shoot that has manual settings. Bring your camera manual because you may need to look up you cameras specific controls. Every camera is different. 

Make sure your camera is charged

Lunch and snacks are included; other meals are your own. There are several inexpensive and nice hotels and B&B's available in our area. If you are in need please email us for a list and suggestions or you may find accommodations on your own if needed.

You do not need to have any previous experience at all.
