Fundamentals of Photography: Exposure

  • Harriett Holister Park South End of Honeoye Lake (map)

Using proper exposure to capture beautiful landscapes, sunrises, and distant scenes of the Fingerlakes Region.

Learn how and why to use manual mode on your camera for landscape photography.

For this class we will travel the northern end of the Fingerlakes wine country photographing the soft light of the sunrise over one of the Fingerlakes. We will continue to take pictures as the sun rises and the light gets harsher. You will learn how to use shutter speed, aperture, and iso in manual mode to get the perfect exposure. We will discuss when to use Aperture priority and when to use shutter priority while photographing landscapes.

If you would like to better understand you camera and specifically why and how to use manual mode then join us for a early morning of landscape photography.
